Thank you for visiting my website.

Firstly I would like to acknowledge the Galloway family – I am saddened by the situation that has led to this opportunity and my thoughts continue to be with the Galloway family as they work every day to find strength and peace in their loss.  And although the Council seat needs to be filled there is no one who can or will replace Councillor Galloway.

Why am I running again for Council?

I love Lethbridge, and simply I miss it, I was good at it, and I have the desire to continue.

I was a highly engaged and competent Councillor from 2010-2013 and I want to continue to serve the citizens of Lethbridge with that same passion and drive.

Using my previous council experience and knowledge I want to once again make decision for the betterment of our city and the lives of its citizens, in the short term and the long term.

On Council I initiated and supported increased community input and engagement and enhanced Council transparency and accessibility. I supported the lowest property tax rate in 10 years. I have a proven record of listening to all sides, asking tough questions and making decisions in the best interest of all. I am committed to seeing our citizens, businesses, and non-profits thrive. I am committed to ensuring we are delivering value by continuing with benchmarking initiatives and finding efficiencies in the delivery of municipal services. Environmental initiatives remain a priority.

I am knowledgeable on the key issues and have been signficantly involved in many of them during my time on council. I will hit the ground running which is crucial as this Council will be shortly entering Operating Budget deliberations.

We need a Councillor who brings passion, experience, and proven competence to the Council table. I am the only candidate who can do that.

Elect Bridget Mearns for City Council on May 12!
